Backing Buddy is an AI-powered backing track generator for musicians. It creates full-band accompaniment (drums, bass, piano, and guitar) in real time, so you can practice and improvise with a complete rhythm section.
Does it require an internet connection?
No. All audio generation happens on-device. Once downloaded, Backing Buddy works fully offline.
What genres are supported?
Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, Funk, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Bossa Nova, and Country — with multiple sub-genres and moods for each.
Can I change key and tempo?
Yes. You can adjust key, tempo, time signature, and energy level at any time. The track regenerates instantly.
The app crashed or won't start. What should I do?
